The purpose and reasoning behind this build was to create a long lasting, 4k setup with the ability to run current and future games at 4k Ultra settings with no struggle. The dual 1070 SLI setup was chosen over a single 1080/1080ti because we wanted the option of having as many HDMI/DisplayPorts as possible for freedom of monitor usage. RAM prices are ridiculous at the moment so it was settled at 16GB of high speed RAM, with the option of 32GB later on.
The purpose and reasoning behind this build was to create a budgeted build while still maintaining 1080p HD Graphics. I chose the FX-8300 for this build as it was made before the Ryzen series was released, but the FX series was still a reliable strong CPU for the time and could handle anything you threw at it. Combined with the aftermarket cooling, it never experiences overheating. DDR3 RAM is extremely cheap, 16GB was originally purchased, the other 16GB was handed down from my earlier PC after I upgraded. The GTX 970 was and always will be an absolutely killer card, and most of the budget was sunk into this card, and it performs extremely well.
Plain and simple, This PC is mine and will never be the same thing. It has seen multiple GPU's, CPU's, MOBO's, Cases, ETC. Always upgrade-able, always branded to Xadr. It's mine and always will be mine. I love it.
The purpose and reasoning behind this build was to create a complete full AMD build for all around compatibility. Running everything at 1080p HD, this computer looks and feels great. The r9 390x is a massive card with a massive workforce. Handling most games at high and above, it monsters old and new games alike. The Ryzen 7 1700 is such an amazing feat by AMD I would have never gone any other route.
